I have had braces on for 2 full days now, and I feel like I can't eat without it hurting. I know what I shouldnt eat, so dont bother answering with that. And I have 2 blue things on my back molars to prevent me from biting off my bottom braces, so I have nowhere to put the food I'm trying to chew Any easy good foods I can eat or prepare? No fish or meat, and I already know applesauce and yogurt, even eating those hurt, and I'm sucking them through a straw Help? And any good smoothie recipes you may have, cough it up

Questions about dental braces?
when i was 13, i got my 1st molar extracted in my upper teeth... and later i noticed that my teeth gradually moved filling the space in the extracted teeth.. so, overall, i just lost 1 tooth, btw, all my wisdom's has already in place.. .. and now, im 18...last May, i got my braces, and the dentist extracted two molars in my lower teeth.. so, in total, 3 teeth was removed..so,how come could the dentist allign my bite yet supposedly 4 teeth must get extracted to be equalfor now, the doctor said, that, in the first 4months, he will focus on my crooked teeth..My question is, Will the doctor Extract ONE TOOTH to make it 4?My case is thatupper 1 toothlower 2 so in total 3? WOULD THE DOCTOR EXTRACT ANOTHER TOOTH ????anyway, just ignore my grammar ,just in case

I got my braces removed in march, wore the retainer for 2 months, but then stopped... Now I can see gaps between my teeth, Will wearing the retainer again help?

I will be flying overseas 2 months from now and will be staying there for a few years. I don't intend to continue braces there as it is too expensive. I now 2 months is probably too short a time for my teeth to completely straighten. Is it possible to just do it half way?

Hi guys So for 2012 i am going to get braces but i am so unsure about the colouring part. Should it be coloured or should it be kept disguised as much as possible the brace etc. ...Anyway i just want to clarify something. 1. People say that non coloured elastics or whatever they are called are very good when trying to conceal your dental status as much as possible. 2. Then this part totally contradicts your decision. They also say that it allows food to be way more visible than normal.I agree but then again teeth can get food stuck in their not as easily but still, it gets in their. Although i do see their point. Then from another view, lol sorry for being merciless with all these inquiries, when you have coloured elastics its a total shock when you open your mouth. Some even say its an explosion to the sight. I personally think coloured elastics would make you unique and cool to have colour rather than plain. I am unsure if it will look unnatural even if i did have them coloured because really i am around that age where braces are appropriate. So anything you can contribute about the colouring of elastics, i would be very grateful.Plus if you guys have an experience with braces, you can list anything you wish about the process, after affect, pain, how it looks, mainting it and so on.Additional question optional depending on dental status Are retainers mandatory after the brace treatment and if so how long will you need to endure them? I have a sister and soon a brother who deal with Invisalign so they can easily show me how to take care of them. How long do I have to wait to get approved by medicaid for dental braces? in NYC?
So I went to NYU a week or two ago. I received a oral check by a professor which told me my case is pretty bad and I'll be mailed a notice for consultation. I'm just wondering how and when they'll may me the notice. I don't remembering them asking for my home address or anything. Do they just look up my address from mt medicaid? Also about how long do i have to wait? Thanks

I have been told by my dentist that I need braces, they are going to cost AUD$5000. But the thing is my parents can't afford them My dentist gave me a dental platr but no matter how much theu tighten it, it still falls out when I talk, I also have to take the bloody thing out when I talk it's a pain the a . I am desperate to get braces. I've tried to get a job to pay for them, I've put my resum in to at least twenty places and I still haven't got a bloody job. I'm sick of my crooked teeth, they are disgusting and I'm getting teased about it.
