Is it possible to get several dental plans in order to afford a surgery?
My mother is currently having some major dental problems and needs to have a dental surgery that will cost her about $10,000. She is a housekeeper and does not make much. She does have insurance but it does not cover much. I was wondering, is it possible to take out several dental plans in her name in hopes of covering more of her surgery costs? I am trying to find ways to help her but unfortunately do not have great credit but could afford several plans if it would help.

Is it OK(legal) for an individual to have 2 different dental plans simultaneously?
Since most dental plans have annual $ limits, I was thinking about getting 2 plans at the same time. My thinking was that this would double my coverage limit. Two plans with a annual limit of, say $1000, would give me a $2,000 limit.I was planning on using one plan till the $ limit was reached, Then, I would use the 2nd plan. So, technically, I wouldn't be using them simultaneously, but sequencially.
Why are dental plans in Washington not as good as those in California, even through the same company (Delta De?
In California, my dental plan covered so much Silver fillings are almost obsolete in Cali, so most good dental plans covered 100 % of composite white fillings. But here in Washington state, I can't find any dental plan that will give good coverage like that, and amalgam silver fillings are still popular here. What's up with that? Is it because Washingtonians just don't take care of their teeth like Californians do, so the dental insurance companies don't want to offer such good coverage and have to pay to fix such jacked up teeth???

I was referred to an oral surgeon for widsom tooth removal and they told me I had to front 475 dollars and then they would refund me the portion of the balance not covered by insurance...assuming that I had to use my dental coverage. My question is...wouldn't it be covered by my major medical BCBS of IL PPO ?
