Sounds like a lot maybe but you would no longer pay for health insurance and would no longer have to meet a deductable. I personally would go for it.As far as the poor not paying there part?? Well if they purchase anything.........they would be.I have a brother that is disabled and gets SSI and said he'd go for it.Our neighbors to the North you've heard have universal health care and education. How do you think this is funded?? My brother that is disabled is on a very limited income, and surprised me when he said he would be for it. And by the way even with his one leg he'd love to work but can't.......because he would lose his medical insurance.If illegals in the country.........if they are buying the essentials to survive here..........they would be paying into the health care system. Should I cancel my health care insurance?
I was just enrolled and have til tomorrow to cancel or change plans or else I'm locked in for a year...Basically I was reading the small print and a I only get 3 visits year which I didn't know will include dental vision so between a general exam, dentist visit and eye care visit, that already uses up my 3 vists so if I get sick in the next 3 months I would have to pay my $4500 deductible before my benefits kick in It's with Blue Shield so if I cancel with them I don't know if I will find other good providers in CA .There's a catch with each plan they offer. If I choose low deductible, the monthly premium sky rockets. If I choose a relatively similar cost plan with more visits, it doesn't cover dental or vision. It just sucks, it's like I can't find anything that suits my needs. Any suggestions?Oh and the kicker is that NONE of their plans cover lab x ray so if I want my cholesterol or sugar level checked I have to pay 100 % out of pocket for any blood work including if I fracture a bone and need an x ray, unless I have an HMO plan which costs 300 % more month. WTFAlanna, I've never heard of a supplemental program. So is that like getting 2 policies?

Corporations will fire any employee who drives up their health care insurance costs. Why are people so naive?
This means that anyone who gets a serious illness will be eventually fired for actually using their health insurance. Corporations want the lowest possible rate for their group health insurance premiums, and insurance companies all want a sweet deal with the company that is insured whereby all the employees are healthy and make no major claims. They will give you all kinds of BS and deny this fact. But the truth is, the corporation and the insurance company have an under the table understanding that the costs will kept low by fabricating reasons to fire any employee who is making claims and driving costs up. I am sure that delusional Republicans are all happy with this reality or else totally in denial about it. This is another reason we need to keep our only recourse of lawsuits open. It happened to me fired for making one phone call on a company phone after I got Cancer total BS and I wish I had sued because I never did find another full time job.
