Should I get two health insurance plans (temporarily)?
I have one health insurance plan with a high deductible, but I'm never sick. However, I injured my leg while running several months ago and it still hurts, and I'm worried that I may need surgery and and MRI, which could get expensive. At first I considered upgrading my existing health insurance plan to get a lower deductible, but now I'm thinking of just keeping it and getting an entirely separate plan with a low deductible, but only keeping it for a short time while I see a doctor and get treatment under that plan and not making a claim to my current company , then canceling when my leg is fixed. The point of this is because I'm worried that if I simply cancel my existing plan and then try to sign up for a plan with a low deductible in the future, the leg will be considered a pre existing condition and cause problems. I really have no idea how this works, because like I said before, I've never really had medical problems and rarely go to the doctor.I'm not try to be fraudulent, by the way. I've paid tons of money to the insurance companies every year and this is the first time I actually need something covered.

What insurance plans cover birth control?
I'm unsure as to whether or not my current health insurance provider covers birth control. I am really interested in getting on either the daily pill or getting the insert I forget what it's called that is implanted into your arm and then stays there for five years. I know that the former and ESPECIALLY the latter form of birth control are very expensive, but I also know that very few insurance plans cover birth control. I think I'm currently insured under United Healthcare. If your birth control is covered, what plan are you under? Thank you

I have a large ovarian cycst and I am wondering how my insurance will look at it if i change insurance plans?
Recently, I found out I have a large ovarian cycst. It is complex, and they are watching it to see if it can be removed, but want to wait 60 days. My questions is, I am on my own insurance through my work. My husband, does not have insurance through his work so he does not have health insurance right now. He is thinking of taking a job in WA. Which means I would have to quit my job. Since he does not have insurance, and would be going on the plan the his NEW job has, would I too be able to get on his plan and have my pre exisiting condition covered? The reason I ask is because I would be on his plan now, and not mine, and on his part, there was more then a 63 day gap in coverage. On my side of things I wouldn't have that gab. but it would be HIS insurance...Does my question make sence?

Do most basic health insurance plans in the US cover dietetic care?
I'm a recent high school graduate, and I want to become a dietitian. The problem is, everyone is telling me I won't make any money. They every hospital has very few of them, and there are very few jobs available for them, and I'm not going to have much of a future. When you google search the possibilities for a dietitian, they make it look real pretty. So now, I'm wondering, do most insurance plans even cover dietetic care? If anyone else has ever been in the same position, or knows someone who has, PLEASE share. Don't hold back. And do tell me what you know about basic health insurance plan coverage on dietetic care, and how many people get around to it otherwise...Statistics would be nice...I'm not saying I have to decide right here, right now. I just want an idea.
Which health insurance plan should I get?
So I just got a new job after months of hard work and this is my first real job where they are offering me an option in insurance plans. Only problem is I don't understand insurance stuff, I don't want to make the wrong choice. I was hoping someone here could help. There is a traditional plan and a high deductible plan.I've read up on both but I still don't get it. Can someone please explain it to me in a dumb downed version . Which plan do you suggest? What is a deductible, co pay, and if something bad were to happen, which plan would help me out the most?Thank you.
